What are the different camps you offer?
We offer the following camps: Minis camp: Multi-activity for children aged 3-5. Rookies camp: Multi-activity for children aged 6-8. Junior camp: Specialised morning programme and multi-activity afternoon for children aged 9-12. Senior camp: Basketball mornings and multi-activity afternoons for children aged 12 to 14.
What time should my child arrive at the camps and what time should they be picked up?
Your child should arrive for 08:45 as the camps start at 09:00. The camps end at 16:30.
Do you offer early drop-off and late pickup services?
Yes, you can sign up for these services when purchasing your camp. Early drop-off is from 07:30 onwards, and late pickup is available until 18:00. Both early drop-off and late pickup are charged at CHF 50 for the week.
What should my child bring on the first day of camp?
Water bottle, cap/ hat for sun protection, sun cream, swimming costume, owel, a sweatshirt, rain jacket, and depending upon camp a change of shoes.
Does my child require to speak a certain level of French or English to attend the camps?
All the camps are bilingual, meaning that all the staff members speak both languages throughout the day. Your child will need to know the basics of one of the two languages, however does not need to have language skills in both. For example, if your child speaks French however no English the camps are suitable for your child, and additionally a great opportunity for him/ her to learn some English.
Junior English / Junior French camps: What is the expected level for the language classes?
For both the Junior English and Junior French camps, we will ideally cater for all language abilities. Realistically, we expect most of the students that enrol will be either at beginner, or intermediate levels. Closer to the start date of the camp, parents will be asked to complete a form in regards to their child's language level so that we can create groups and provide the correct language learning opportunities for each individual.
Who can I contact throughout the week, should there be an issue or concern?
Throughout the week you can contact our receptionist at all times from 08:00 to 17:00. She will be more than happy to answer any of your questions/ concerns. Additionally, a phone number will be shared with you prior to the week, which you can call should there be an issue.
What’s included in the price of the camps?
The following is included in the price: lunch, morning and afternoon snacks, all camp materials and equipment, excursions, transport, and a goodie bag. The goodie bag contains a t-shirt, water bottle, and camp bracelet.
How can I pay for the camps?
You can purchase the camps directly on this website. Payments should be made online via credit card.
Do you offer any discounts?
We offer a 10% discount for the second purchased camp, this is for example for a second child, or a second week of camps.
What happens if I have to cancel the camp?
Cancellations are accepted in the case of an accident or illness, supported by a medical certificate. Otherwise, you are able to cancel the camp purchased up until 1 month before the start date for a 100% refund. If cancellation occurs 14 days prior to the camp start date, you will receive a 50% refund. Please note that a 10% cancellation fee will be applied. What is the deadline for booking the camps?
There is no official deadline for the booking of camps. We accept new bookings as long as spaces are still available. This information can be found on the "Our Camps" page when selecting your preferred camp.
The camp I wanted to book for my child is full, what should I do?
Please make sure to check if the camp you wanted to book is available for another week. If the dates do not work for you, please do contact us with the following details: Preferred camp, preferred dates, name and age of your child.
My child's age means that he cannot join the same camp programme as his/ her friends. Are you flexible regarding this?
Yes we are. We understand that your child would like to attend the camp with their friends, and that due to a difference in age, this may be complicated. Please make sure to contact us by email: holiday-camps@isl.ch in order to discuss possible solutions.
Is lunch included for everyone?
Yes, we provide lunch for all children as well as morning and afternoon snacks. You may of course prefer to prepare a packed lunch or snack for your child. Note, however, that the lunch and snacks are included in the cost of the camps, no discounts will be offered for packed lunches.
My child has food allergies. Are you able to provide a special meal for them?
We cater for: lactose intolerance, vegetarians, non-pork eaters and those allergic to nuts. Once you have booked the camp, a form will be shared with you allowing you to inform us of any information in regards to allergies and the general health of your child. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any concerns or questions.
Is there a professional nurse present during the camps?
Yes, we have a nurse present each day throughout the camps.
